53rd (Welsh) Infantry Division (UK) retained by a handfull of grenadiers of 271
After crossing Orne on the bridgehead seized by 59th ID on August 8th, 53rd ID continued east, but was successfully retained by a handfull of grenadiers of 271. ID supported by a single Tiger in Bois-Halbout.
