1st Polish Armoured Division Liberation of Poperinge
The 1st Polish Armoured Division (2nd Canadian Corps) crossed the Belgian border in two columns, at 12.40 am in Abeele (Poperinge) and at 1 pm further east in Westouter. Poperinge was liberated without opposition.
