On Sunday, 13 September 1942, (a part of) the aircraft of the 10 OTU squadron (RAAF), took off for a mission to Bremen in Germany from a station (airfield) in or near Abingdon.
One of the crew members was Sergeant C B P Nind RAAF. He departed for his mission at 23:48.
He flew with a Armstrong Whitworth Whitley (type V, with serial BD275 and code -Y). His mission and of the other crew members was planned for Monday, 14 September 1942.
