Commander John 'Moose' Fulton surveys the result of a hit on one of the wooden blades of his port propeller, The aircraft is a Mk Ill and he managed to stop the propeller so that, in the wheels-up landing, no further shock loading would be sustained by the engine.The Canadian 419 Squadron which he commanded took its name from Fulton's nicname, following his failure to return from a raid on Hamburg on July 28/29,1942
