69 aircraft; cloud and haze encountered. Cologne reports only minor damage, with 5 people killed and 6 injured. 5 Wellingtons lost.
Minor Operations: 5 Hampdens on searchlight-suppression flights in support of the Cologne and Essen raids, 23 Hampdens to Dunkirk, 22 Wellingtons and Whitleys to Ostend, 22 Wellingtons to Bordeaux, 13 Wellingtons to Rotterdam. 2 Wellingtons were lost from the Bordeaux raid and 1 Hampden from the Dunkirk raid.
