6 Blenheims of 101 Squadron inaugurated Channel Stop in the Straits of Dover. In this operation, Blenheims with fighter escort attempted to prevent all German ships passing through this narrow part of the Channel by day. Motor torpedo boats attempted to keep up the blockade by night. It became a hard-fought battle between the Blenheims and German Flak ships and fighters. 1 fishing vessel was sunk on this day but 1 Blenheim was lost.
