7th Armoured Division (UK) crossed the Osnabruck Canal

After withdrawing from Ibbenburen, the Division was then had a clear run of 50 miles. The crossed the Osnabruck Canal at Halen, courtesy of 11th Armoured Division, with 5th RTR seizing a bridge intact over the Ems-Weser Canal, 18 miles north east of Osnabruck.
