The 105 Sqdn left from an unknown RAF station at 1942-11-08 at an unknown time
On Sunday 08 November 1942, a member of the 105 Sqdn, Flight Sergeant N Booth, took off from an unknown RAF station in the United Kingdom. His mission is mentioned elsewhere on WW2 History Europe. You can find the other details of this mission by searching here. Training and cargo flights are not separately mentioned as a mission. The plane left at an unknown time .

He flew with a de Havilland Mosquito (type IV, serial DK301, code GB-).

Campaign report of the USAAF:


(Eighth Air Force): Mission 17: 53 bombers are dispatched to hit two targets in France; 1 B-17 is lost:

1. 11 of 15 B-17s bomb the Abbeville/Drucat Airfield; they claim 1-2-1 Luftwaffe aircraft; 5 B-17s are damaged and 5 airmen are WIA.

2. 31 of 38 B-17s bomb the Atclier d'Hellemmes locomotive works at Lille; they claim 10-4-13 Luftwaffe aircraft; 1 B-17 is lost and 8 damaged; 3 airmen are WIA and 11 MIA.

7/8 November 1942

Genoa

175 aircraft - 85 Lancasters, 45 Halifaxes, 39 Stirlings, 6 Wellingtons. 6 aircraft - 4 Halifaxes, 1 Lancaster, 1 Wellington - lost, 3.4 per cent of the force.

Returning crews claimed a very successful and concentrated raid and this was confirmed by photographs. No report is available from Genoa.

36 Wellingtons of 1 Group minelaying in many areas from St Nazaire to Denmark. 1 aircraft lost.

8/9 November 1942

Minelaying: 70 aircraft to many places from Brest to the Frisian Islands. 2 Halifaxes and 2 Wellingtons lost.

Leaflets: 26 Stirlings of 3 Group carried out a special operation to drop leaflets over many towns in France. No aircraft were lost.
