On 1945-04-26, Pilot E D Brydon (Flying Officer, RCAF) with service number J/44042 flew Typhoon Ib serial RB429 (squadron ID F3-X) for this duty: armed recce. His mission was not completed. Circumstances of the aircraft loss: Hit trees whilst attacking Motorised Enemy Troop column. Crashed South-West of Gnissau. This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 438. The location for the map is Gnissau Germany. Circumstances at the end of this mission for Brydon: he was killed. He is commemorated at: Hamburg Cemetery Germany.
