On Tuesday, 28 April 1942, (a part of) the aircraft of the 18 squadron (RAF), took off for a mission to Langenbrugge in Germany from a station (airfield) in or near Wattisham.
One of the crew members was Pilot Officer L A Coventry. He departed for his mission at 23:35.
He flew with a Bristol Blenheim (type IV, with serial Z7436 and code WV-). His mission and of the other crew members was planned for Wednesday, 29 April 1942.
