The middle part of 08/26 is still used by microlights and GA aircraft. This was an enormous airfield, far more extensive than apparent on OS map - on the ground you can trace taxiways, hardstandings and still used (for industrial and agricultural purposes) hangars way beyond the obvious boundaries and across what are now public roads.
