41 Mosquitoes dispatched; none lost. Cologne reports several bombs in and around the main railway station and in other parts of the city. 19 people were killed.
16 other Mosquitoes were dispatched: 5 to Aachen, 4 to Essen, 3 to Duisburg, 2 to Krefeld and 2 to La Glacerie. No losses.

TOULOUSE
144 Lancasters and 1 Mosquito of 5 Group. 1 Lancaster exploded in the air over the target.
This was the successful attack on the aircraft factory which was described in the introduction to this period of the diary. A report from Toulouse confirms that the factory was severely damaged. Most of the people living nearby had time to take shelter or run into fields but 22 people were killed and 45 were injured when about 100 houses near the factory were hit.
Minor Operations: 24 Stirlings minelaying off Biscay ports, 37 aircraft on Resistance operations. No losses.
