79 Blenheims, Hampdens, Wellingtons and Whitleys to 6 targets in Germany and to French airfields, 1 Blenheim and 1 Hampden lost. Berlin was one of the German cities attacked and it would be regularly included in routine raids from now onwards; the number of aircraft sent was usually small and normal targets for this period of the war - power stations, railway stations, etc. - were chosen for attack.
