60 Blenheims, Hampdens, Wellingtons and Whitleys to carry out cloud-cover attacks on targets - mainly ports - in Germany and airfields in Holland. 2 Blenheims and 1 Wellington lost. 12 Hampdens carried out a minelaying operation.
A report from Hamburg tells how one bomber carried out an attack on the liners Europa and Bremen, which were being prepared for Operation Sea Lion. 3 bombs fell very close to the ships but caused no damage.
