2 Group's Blenheims continued their raids in support of the Battle of France. 60 sorties were flown on the 14th (the day Paris fell), with 4 lost, and 12 sorties on the 15th with 2 lost. A new type of target on the 14th was Merville airfield.

FRANCE, GERMANY
43 Whitleys bombed targets in France in support of the land battle; 1 was lost. 24 Wellingtons and 5 Hampdens bombed targets in the Ruhr and in Southern Germany. 16 Wellingtons were sent as far south as Basle and Konstanz, on the Bodensee (Lake Constance); this was presumably an attempt to carry the bomber offensive to the extreme corners of this part of Germany.

GENOA
Bomber Command established a small detachment at the French airfield of Salon, near Toulon, so that raids could more easily be carried out against Italian targets. 8 Wellingtons from this force were dispatched to Genoa but only 1 bombed. 1 Hampden from England made a reconnaissance flight over the North Sea. There were no losses.
