WILHELMSHAVEN
83 aircraft - 57 Wellingtons, 14 Hampdens, 12 Whitleys - reported starting large fires throughout the target area but the Wilhelmshaven diary records only 'slight damage' and no casualties. No aircraft lost.
Minor Operations: 40 aircraft to Brest - 22 bombing and 18 minelaying, 32 aircraft to Ostend, 14 to Dunkirk, 4 O.T.U. sorties. 1 Whitley was lost from the Dunkirk raid.
