KIEL
55 Wellingtons to shipyards. 2 aircraft lost.
Most crews bombed the town area. Kiel reports bombs in the Deutsche Werke U-boat yard, a margarine factory, a grain warehouse, a brickworks and on private housing. 4 people were killed and 2 injured.
WARNEMNDE
32 Whitleys to attack the docks but most crews bombed the general town area. 1 Whitley lost.
Minor Operations: 20 Wellingtons to Le Havre, 8 aircraft to Boulogne, 20 Hampdens minelaying in the Frisians and off Heligoland and Warnemnde. 1 Whitley from the Boulogne force was lost.

FRANKFURT
130 aircraft - 71 Wellingtons, 31 Hampdens, 18 Whitleys, 9 Stirlings. 2 Wellingtons lost.
Thick cloud prevented accurate bombing but large fires were claimed. Frankfurt reports 75 high-explosive and 650 incendiary bombs in the city and in the nearby town of Offenbach. Nearly all the damage listed was in civilian housing although 2 bombs destroyed a workshop at the rubber factory in Offenbach. 38 fires were started. 8 people were killed, 17 injured and approximately 200 bombed out.
Mainz, nearly 20 miles from Frankfurt, reports many bombs with 19 people being killed.
Minor Operations: 21 Wellingtons and Whitleys to Cherbourg, 10 Hampdens minelaying in the Frisians and off Denmark. No losses.
